Building a discipling culture
Level I MDI will help you put disciple-making front and center of your church’s foundational mission. This level will provide you with a set of missional tools that will enhance your theological understanding of what it means to make disciples within the local church while also challenging you and your congregation to engage the disciple-making task in practical ways beyond the church’s walls.
Objectives
- To put disciple-making back at the center of the mission of the local church.
- To provide Implementing Leaders with basic Missional Tools to aid in the disciple-making task.
- To launch 3 to 5 MDGs that will meet on a weekly basis for the following 12 months.
Length
Level I consists of 3-months of implementation as part of a Virtual Learning Huddle (VLH) along with three to five other church leaders. VLHs meet twice a month via videoconferencing for 1 hour sessions. Missional Discipleship Groups are also implemented during this time.
